I bought this from hughesdirect on the amazon marketplace, mostly on the back of reviews here, as I had recently had a satellite dish installed and wanted to take advantage of the extra features that satellite bandwith proviedes. As previous reviewers have said, the setup was easy and the installation went without a hitch - it found all the channels and services I expected and presented them in a reaonably easy to navigate EPG and menu.
The problems began when I (shock, horror) wanted to actually watch tv!
Although I got mostly 100% signal (occasionally it dropped to 96%) although I could see the programme in the guide many of the channels reported no signal at all. I did some further research into this on the net and found so many incidents of the same problems with this model it wasnt funny. (I now regret not doing more research before purchase, lesson learnt) I also noted that Grundig have even taken this model off their own website!
I contacted hughesdirect through the amazon site to get a refund, twice, but they didnt reply. Not even a murmer. So now I have a box that doesnt work and no way of getting a refund.
All I can say is warning warning warning! You may well get a box that works (although it appears there is not a very good chance of that), but if you dont you are just throwing money away on what is at best an average piece of kit.
