I bought this box from Argos and done some testing to see the results.
This is probably the best Freeview HD Box but as all other boxes it has some small issues and an update is needed.

Good Points:

- Very Good Quality on HD channels ( 70% signal); I think this is the best quality I've seen on a HD Freeview Box.
(better than the Humax and Panasonic)
- All Freeview SD and HD channels + Radio stations; no need to change between Freeview boxes.
- Real 1080p output ( I tried on LG 32 inch which accept 1080p input, then compress the image - very clear )
- HDMI lead included
- TV cable included ( RF cable)
- TV out(RF out)to connect to your TV so there is no need for a separate splitter to connect your TV; it works even when the box is not plugged to power ( RF loop through) - Very Good Feature
- Very easy Menu and Guides ( really easy for all Dummies)
- Very Good Design and sturdy box; ON light is cool blue and not annoying red or orange which may create discomfort on low light in the room.

Many other cool features and pieces ( Ethernet, USB, Subtitles,Audio Descritpion (AD), Digital Text, Dolby Sound...etc)

Bad Points:

- Same anoying problems with the sound when changed from SD channels to HD ones; Loud on SD & low on HD.
- The Menu is cool but bit slow.

Edit ( Update ): This two "bad points" happens JUST when Audio Output is set to Dolby. In the Manual is CLEARLY stated that if Dolby Sound is selected and the Channel doesn't support it then there is NO Sound; well if you press the AD function ON and OFF the sound comes ON even with Dolby selected. So these two "bad points" are due to Dolby Sound selection and is nothing wrong with the box.

- AD function need to be turned On/Off each time when HD channel is changed.
- Volume button gets stuck on one point.

I'm keen for the next Software Update...until then I'll do more tests and maybe come back with some feedback; The best point for this box is the Quality and the user friendly menu + remote.

After more testing and comparing with other boxes this box is worth 5 stars and not 4; Don't forget to read the Manual front to cover, especially Special Notes.

Update: Need to mention that "Probably the best Freeview HD Box" phrase is up to the date when this review was written.

Quality product... 17 Dec 2010
By Mark Webb TOP 500 REVIEWER
Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
This is a well made product, sturdy and robust and with an up market feel. Set up from the box is simple and quick and made easier by the provision of an HDMI cable - often omitted on low end machines. It is well specified but not all the features are currently supported - the ethernet connection is currently unused although may (or may not) be in the future for iPlayer and similar services. The USB port is used only to update the firmware when an over the air upgrade is not possible. It is not possible to play files from a USB attached storage device.

Picture quality is first rate, perhaps the best Freeview HD I have seen, and the Program Guide is comprehensive but slow and clunky at times. Their is a marked difference between some SD and HD signal audio volume levels and whilst this is due to variance in the signal level as broadcast rather than a fault with the tuner no attempt has been made to compensate for it.

This device is designed as a way of viewing freeview HD on TV's with no suitable on board receiver. By it's very nature it will become outmoded as new sets with built in Freeview HD become the norm. Bearing that in mind this device is by no means cheap as for most people it will have a useful life of two or three years only. The lack of recording facility or the capability of playing external files reduces the long term use of the device further.

The Good:
Top quality picture
HDMI and RF (aerial) cables supplied
Good build quality and an up market feel
Supports SCART and RF (standard aerial socket) as well as HDMI output
RF (aerial) pass through socket ie TV will still receive analog signal when unit turned off

The Bad
Menu is slow and clunky at times
Mismatch in SD and HD volumes
The unit is prone to intermittent freeze ups requiring a reboot
The unit cannot play files from external drives connected via USB and the USB socket is for system upgrade only
Cannot record programs as many competing units can
Ethernet socket currently unused.
Cheaper Freeview HD tuners now entering the market.

Verdict: if you need a quality Freeview HD box with a first class picture and are prepared to live with a view minor issues then this would be a good buy.

Avoid! 14 May 2011
By Dim Tim
I bought this a few weeks ago so my wife and I could watch the Royal wedding in high-def. This was certainly cheap and had some good reviews. However, after 3 weeks of use I can only say this is one of the worst pieces of electronics I have ever bought. First off it constantly freezes. I am fed up of pulling the power out and resetting it. I am watching the FA cup in HD and have already reset it twice. Second, the program guide is horribly laggy. Sometimes you press the guide button and nothing happens at first so you press it again only for it to suddenly appear and disappear. Thirdly, the much vaunted internnet facility has yet to be implemented - don't advertise it if it doesn't exist. I will be sending it back at the first opportunity. I advise you to look elsewhere.
