I bought this freeview box because it had timeshift built in. Set-up is very easy and it picks up all the channels which is brilliant as it's running on an indoor aeriel. EPG is not very good as it only shows 1 channel at a time. Timeshift only has 1gb of storage but will pause for just over 40 mins. The good thing about it is, when the memory is full it will go into play mode and still record the programme regardless of lengh as it records over what you've already watched. If you catch up with real time by skipping the adverts you gain the pause function again. It will not store a recording but it's not a PVR. For a freeview box with timeshift, that is a superb feature especially if you get a phone call, a knock at the door or some other reason. Apart from the EPG I couldn't fault it. I have ordered another one as with the price at under £23 delivered, you simply can't go wrong.

Grundig GUD 1600TS1G 12 Oct 2010
Well arrived in reasonable time via Royal Mail, Recorded delivery from seller via amazon.

First thing that strikes you is how much more compact than other freeview boxes(have had a BTVision box upto now).

Nice quality feel to this box, a cinch to connect up and set up, which was almost plug and play!

Scans very quickly, crisp clear picture, foolproof menues, and channel info, great when you want to see what's ahead. Super pause "live TV facility", can hold for upto an hour! Again great if your trying to answer doors, prep dinner, make a cuppa during a programme.

No crashing and very reliable.

A very excellent alternative to all those rip off TV channel suppliers.I reckon this is one of those very underrated freeview boxes that is super value for money.

It was a little expensive I thought at first, but then realized it had time shift.
The actual digital box is quite small, it sets itelf up once plugged in, but it's annoyingly slow when switching back on, after switching off after viewing.

Also the instructions about Time Shift, are far from helpful, the play button is meant to start recording, but if you should press the stop thinking this will save, you will be disappointed as it erases everything.
You have to use the pause, and the rewind in order to make use of the time shift recording.
