I've always assumed "French press" referred to some gym routine where you look at a machine and then run away crying. And for the last ten years I've made my coffee with an automatic drip.
No more. After watching a friend press his own Joe (very gratifying), I ordered this and haven't looked back. Not in the first 24 hours, anyway. It's simple, pure, and also simple. This is how cowboys would make coffee, if they were French.
And if you don't think the coffee tastes better, you might as well be drinking Folgers instant coffee (between you and me, I heard it's made out of horse meat). I'm dropping the old machine off at Goodwill today.
