Manufacturer's Description

The Goodmans GDVD300R DVD recorder has an attractive slim-line design and features Videoplus technology. Videoplus allows you to enter a plus code into your recorder and it will convert this into a time and channel. When the recorder is supplied with a pluscode, it will automatically start the recording process at the designated time period. Pluscodes are usually printed in TV guides and programme listings in newspapers.

The GDVD300R recorder is ultra-flexible and allows you to record from VHS, DVD, TV, satellite, MP3, CD or photo CD sources and also features a high tolerance to damaged/scratched discs. Five quality settings give up to 6 hours recording per disc (recorder is supplied with one disc).

The GDVD300R recorder makes viewing a pleasure with an array of clever features including: Chapter skip/ search & repeat, multi chapter/ track programmable, zoom and slow motion/step function, the ability to overwrite recordings without deleting an entire disc, a fully intelligent on-screen help and warning system, automatic on-screen disc information and contents indexing, a unique user friendly on-screen set-up system, direct access to the recording menu, direct access to the timer function and on-screen subtitle support.

    The Goodmans DVD recorder,is a simple affair,no hard drive.If you remember not to push the draw shut,if you do it will not read the disc,so use open/close only.Once you have formated your disc,you can make HQ recordings,that play on a normal DVD player,once finalised!You must use DVD + R disc.If you also remember to plug straight into your Sky Box,it does not recognise a RF signal,on an extension. The quality is really good,even on long play,2 hours recording,it is excellent.

    I really like the simple way it works each button does one thing,I bought mine £179.00.from Next,you get a real bargain,forget the brand,because under the 'bonnet' it probably uses high specification components.It even records on badly scratched disc,giving excellent playback.This shows error correction is good.Memorex disc,work well in the recorder.

    If your wanting something simple that,helps you with a menu,go for this machine.

    wow fantastic for the price this is excellent value for money in time tech will become more advanced but for a beginner this is just what bones ordered throw away those old vcrs today

    I Went and got dvd recorder from Next yes a staggering £239.99 since it arrived its been used daily i bought 10 new disks at £7 from a local computer shop and not had a problem with it. simple switch allows recording from all different sources. I have a FTA digi box sky tv and a dvd / video combi plugged into mine. 1 down fall could do with a hard drive. other than that TOP MARKS GOODMANS i may have paid more but worth its weight in gold with great record quality and playback easy to use menus with up and down and select keys. even my mum that hates change can use it and shes 57yrs old. Again throw out the VCR R.I.P wooohooo great stuff !! if ya struggling i will be your help line for this machine Tel 08444 170 128 mon - fri 8am -10pm I cant be more fairer than that.
