Book Description

7 May 2013 Golf Magazine
The Par Plan dispels the myth that a golfer needs to be a shot-making machine to score in the 70s. Not only is this not true, it's also an unrealistic goal for the vast majority of recreational players. Instead, The Par Plan shows readers how to honestly assess their games in seven key areas and apply simple changes to each over the course of a few weeks. The plan focuses on efficient practice, not just more practice. Each week's practice and lesson schedule is designed to sequentially build the correct skills. Positive swing changes happen automatically as a result. The seven critical areas are: impact, scoring shots, driving accuracy, short games, putting, strategy, and bunker play. Following the plan, complete with weekly practice worksheets and self-check guides, guarantees that players' overall games-and scores-will improve. The Par Plan is backed by over 2,000 years of combined instruction experience and has already helped thousands of golfers shoot their best scores, hit the ball farther and have more fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars still in progress 21 Jun 2013
By Martin - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Been using this to refine my game. Pretty sure nothing too ground breaking in this book but is a great collection of reminders of how to play smarter on the course. The putting drills helped the most for me. Still working on the driving, I'm great at the range but haven't translated it to the course. One thing u need the book doesn't come out and say is a partner in your Par Plan journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game Plan 22 July 2013
By Jon - Published on Amazon.com
The Par Plan is a simple book to follow and to digest. The charts and PGA Tour averages are very helpful as are the target goal grids for shooting X score. While we see the best of the best each week on TV coming down the stretch, we forget that the "average" tour player isn't Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson. This book makes progress clear and attainable with great drills and the supporting iPhone app.

4.0 out of 5 stars Compilation of standard drills 1 Jun 2013
By Maurice J McClure - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Nothing new, the information is all drills that are found in most books. Again, there are no secrets to golf, no magic pill or miracle. Do the drills and you may play descent golf, not tour level instruction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haven't shot par yet! 17 July 2013
By robert c jones - Published on Amazon.com

Well, I am not at par yet...but this book is a tremendous help. I was doing and thinking about golf in so many wrong ways. I have dropped at least ten strokes in 15 days and looking forward to more improvement. Worth every penny so far!
