The stylish and compact 15" TFT LCD monitor from GNR could be the perfect replacement for your old CRT monitor. One of the major benefits of a TFT screen is that glare and reflections are cut right down allowing you to focus on the screen. Although the GNR TFT LCD monitor has a screen display of 15", it has the viewing area equivalent to that of a 17" CRT monitor. The refresh rate is very good but if you spend your time scrolling through text you will get a certain degree of ghosting.
At just over 2 inches thick at its deepest part of the screen, it takes up very little room on your work area. The base has an oval footprint of about 8.5 inches wide by just less than 6 inches deep. The monitor is well designed and comes with both a metal base and a laptop style locking point so you can attach it to your desk. It also has points for mounting it on a wall. The silvered finish adds to the feel of good build-quality, as do the clearly labelled adjustment buttons, which you probably won't need as the monitor has an auto set-up feature.
With a three-year onsite warranty from the manufacturer you know you're getting a very reliable monitor. The quality of the screen is outstanding; the image is razor sharp and has a surprisingly large viewing angle. With the prices of TFT monitors falling quickly and with so many manufacturers to choose from, you couldn't do much better than this for the money. --Nick Baxter

This is by far one of the best 15" panels i have seen, and ive seen a few - i sell them on a daily basis. Its so good i even got one myself. Reasonable response time, good enough for films and games anyway. And the picture is crystal clear, exceptional clarity for a smaller panel. In short, if you want a top notch tft then you just found it...

Arrival of the GNR 15" black and silver tft monitor was met with some intrepidation not least of all because I hadn't been brave enough to order something so major and important before!However, as soon as it came out of the box, all my fears were dispelled, it looked even better in 'real life', setting it up was simple and the end result is a really clear, bright picture, which, as any computer user knows makes life a lot easier and hassle free!! I bought the screen to go on an old computer, but now it feels and acts like a new one! I had spent some time in shops and online searching and comparing the specifications etc on tft screens, this one is definately the best all round!!

I ordered this monitor as a replacement for my cheap, unbranded flickery old 15" CRT and what a result! It has a viewable area almost equivalent to a 17" CRT ; perfect flat 1024x768 at 75Hz refresh! A little ghosting is present when scrolling but for under 200 smackers this is a great buy. It's only about £20 more than a 17" CRT and it is well worth the extra.
