For those who are new to the subject, the book is essential reading.

A complex subject which needs clarity to be understood thoroughly. Unfortunately this book lacks clarity and at times seemingly contradicts itself. Everyone has different ways to learn a subject but the reader is of the opinion that the additional use of tables and flow charts would be a better way of expressing the detail and event sequences in the world of marine safety and means of communication.

Perfect book for all the maritime professionals interested in doing a GMDSS certificate. This book covers all the GMDSS modules. So will be the best for any one from the basic Short Range Certificate (SRC) to highest General Operator Certificate (GOC). Complete and clear. A well done book. Thanks. I passed my GMDSS GOC using mainly this book.
