The tool is fitted with a carbide-tipped saw blade that stays sharp for longer for an extended service life.

Fast, accurate cutting

The laser line generator improves cutting vision, reduces set-up time and increases accuracy and safety. This is complemented by the single square bar system which provides extended cutting capacity, a smoother slide and added stability.

In addition, the positive mitre table stops allow fast and convenient setting of common mitre cuts. With an ergonomic, D-handle design with rubber grip, the SYT210 Compound Mitre Saw is comfortable to handle even for prolonged use. The tool is fitted with a dust extraction port which enables quick connection to a dust extraction system for a clean and safe working environment.

Laser Guide

GMC’s dual laser line generator is incorporated into the product, improving operator cutting vision and enabling faster set up, increased accuracy and safer operation.

Dual Laser Line

If you are looking for an electric compound saw that is quite light and compact to store then is one to consider. It is a versatile machine and quite capable of DIY tasks. Don't however expect to use it straight out of the box. Whilst the laser lines up with the blade (unlike the experiences I've had with more expensive tools) getting the saw setup can be a bit fiddly. Firstly it comes with just one Allen key, the right size to change the blade but not make any adjustments! Vertical adjustment is easy and mine wasn't that far off neither was 45 degree bevel cut. However to get it to cut square to the fence took some time. I had to drill out the bolt holes to 9mm to get enough play to get it right. The finger bolts to lock the saw at the correct angle are also a pain to tighten as really they are too short. The switch handle means you get a good positive grip when cutting the the safety release is easy to use. The slide action is a little stiff but it should ease with use. A final niggle is the blade which it comes with is utter rubbish! I will be investing in a much better one with more teeth very soon. So if you have the mindset to take time to set it up right this could be the saw for you and at a very reasonable price.

If you're looking for a simple DIY Sliding Mitre Saw then look no further. The only thing I would recommend is that you buy an extra blade with far more teeth if you're cutting flooring for instance, as the 24T blade supplied is great for decking but can rip softer woods.

Had to send this back, it might have been ok for making a garden fence, but for cutting 45 degree or 90 degree angles you'd be better closing your eye's and using an axe. Wasn't happy with the saw. But was very happy with the returns process and the refund.

Not good even though very low price, "cheap" it is way to fragile mine broke the third time I used it,"Don't make mistake I did MAKE SURE YOU YOU CONTACT GUARANTEE COMPANY AND REGISTER YOUR PURCHASE"
I did not do that quick enough so they would not even look at the machine.

This product is cheap, noisy and of dubious build-quality. The blade wobbles and the slide doesn't slide. I have given it only light use and the brushes have already burned out. It's not worth the effort of sourcing new ones. You can do better at this price elsewhere I'm sure.

The product seemed OK upon first use then some worrying problems occoured:

1) The movement from front-to-back seemed rough so I applied some light oil - it still lackes a smooth action and cuts are jerky with poor control, feels like the bearings are gritty
2) The blade was OK for rough cutting and went to replace it and found the spindle lock would not engage with the motor shaft so unable to do that (glad I found that out before the warranty ran out)
3) The 90° detent was at 89°, trying to compensate there is still some creep and cuts weren't consistant. The scale shows this so would have been evident during manufacture.

I think for DIY jobbing it could be OK and I got a marginal product, however sceptical the Quality Controls are good enough. The blade as poor as stated by others. Potentially a good product.

Got this to replace my old burnt out saw. The instruction book could be better defined with clearer pictures, but I found it straight forward to set the saw up.I've used the saw for cutting logs,(small} Does the job ok. Only drawback I found the slide a bit stiff to use, but with a little help with spray oil, works well. The collection dust bag is rather small, but manages to collect most of the saw dust.Over all it does the job I wanted it for.
