GMC’s compact and slim planer with magnesium construction is a light, easy-to-handle machine that includes all the features of a conventional sized planer and more.
Adjustable depth planing
Easy to control and use with one hand, the PPM 420 watt Palm Planer has a 60 mm planing width that is ideal for fast material removal on small to medium-sized workpieces. Up to 1.5 mm of material can be removed in one pass, making this tool a great option for DIY dabblers, hardcore enthusiasts or trade professionals. The adjustable planing depth and the cast base with 3 bevelling grooves ensures flatness and improves cutting accuracy.
Safety and ease of use
A power lock-off switch prevents accidental operation, and the blade protection foot prevents damage to the blades when the planer is resting on a surface, conveniently hinging out of the way during use. Supplied with spare drive belt, spare set of blades, blade spanner, chip extraction tube and carry case.

Handy Little Planer,

I brought this GMC compact planer 4 months ago, Also the GMC compact sander(see review).It is light, looks robust and well made, easy to use even when fitted with dust extractor. The Planer has been used extensively, in the time I've had it there have been no problems that I've come across. One thing that some people might have trouble with, is the position of the release(safety) switch on the side held in place with the thumb. The planer has various depth settings from 0 to 1.5mm and also a park position to protect blades. The planer also has 3 groove channels on base for chamfer edging, which I find very usefull. It has proved to be a usefull addition to my power tool collection. It comes with a tidy carry case and spare belt and blades. Highly recommended.
