The high-powered MRHD1500CF drill will comfortably tackle the most demanding concrete drilling and chiselling applications. Offering superior strength and durability whilst also being lightweight, it delivers a 3.5J rotary pneumatic hammer action for rapid, consistent and efficient drilling and chiselling into brick and concrete.

3 modes of operation

Select from rotary only (for drilling), rotary hammer (for hammer drilling) and stop rotation or hammer-only fixed rotation (chiselling).

SDS Plus

The SDS Plus bit system means quick, simple and tool-free bi changes with automatic bit locking, dust protection and maximum impact energy transfer. The inclusion of a keyed chuck adaptor enables the use of straight shank drill bits and accessories for non-hammer applications.

360 degree adjustable side handle

The 360 degree adjustable auxiliary side handle allows the drill to be operated with two hands. The side handle can rotate to whatever is the most comfortable and easiest position for the user to operate in and to suit the task at hand. An intelligent safety clutch design stops rotation to protect the operator in the event of the bit jamming.

The drill is lightweight due to the magnesium and carbon fibre pieces inside its chassis, whilst being robust enough to meet GMC’s exacting quality standards. Carbon fibre construction

Traditionally, power tools are constructed of either ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) or GFN (glass fused nylon), with the use of GFN typically only found in high end products such as professional tools. Carbon fibre takes power tool construction to the next level again.

Magnesium

So what’s so special about magnesium? Fundamentally, it’s simple: it’s a material that is lighter, stronger & more durable than other structural metals - 75% lighter than steel, 50% lighter than titanium and 32% lighter then aluminium.

Many power tools on the market feature extensive use of aluminium, which can make them heavy to hold over extended periods of use.

Because they are significantly lighter than aluminium, magnesium components can reduce user fatigue and increase safety.

Power Glo

The health and safety of power tool users is of paramount importance. GMC has developed many features which reduce the risks of accident when using power tools. One such feature is power glo. A bright neon light situated on the tool body indicates when power is connected to the tool, helping to prevent the machine being started accidentally.

Brush Show

If you use your tool regularly, eventually wear on the brushes in the motor will affect performance. In most DIY tools this would mean taking the tool back to the shop for a service or, even worse, throwing the tool away. Tools with the brush show logo have small screw caps which provide easy access to replace worn brushes. Making this a simple, inexpensive job you can do at home.
