5.0 out of 5 stars really solid comfy controller, 22 Aug 2007

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I must say I am very pleased with this controller, it works a charm, it feels solid (much like an official controller) and best of all it works on both pc and ps2. I found on first impression it looked rather small, but it is still comfy after long usage. If you are looking for a ps2/pc pad for under a tenner, then look no further (pad tested on epsxe 1.6 psx emulator, super car street challenge, and various ps2 games, and all work well)

3.0 out of 5 stars Let down by fragile parts, 19 Aug 2008
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This looks, feels and performs like a quality controller, and that's how it was for the first three weeks, then all of a sudden, one of the D-pad buttons failed, and a closer inspection revealed that one of the small tabs mounted on the pad had broken off. I also found that the action buttons felts a bit 'sticky' just at the point where you required a quick release.
I hadn't read any other negative reviews, so I may just have been unlucky.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feels Perfect, 24 Oct 2009
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought mine some months ago, and it's great; at times, I even feel that it's better than the official Dualshock 2. The L2 and R2 triggers are pretty stiff at first, but after about a week or so they loosen up and feel just as good as the ones on a standard gamepad. Despite buying it mainly for my PC, I ended up using it on my PS2 more, and it feels much better than those other cheap controllers you tend to find at Argos for a fiver, and has a cable that's more or less the same length as the official ones too, again much unlike those cheap Argos ones.

The D-Pad and Analogue sticks are completely seperate too, which is great seeing how many gamepads often have them both assigned to the same function. If I had to make a complaint, it'd be that the start and select buttons are a little too rubbery and harder to press than I'd like, and select is in a pretty awkward position, but considering how rarely we actually use those two buttons it really isn't much of a problem.

Despite not having a Home button, I was pretty happy to find out that this works PERFECTLY on my PS3 with rumble and everything, minus Sixaxis. That isn't a problem with most games though, and I can't think of any multiplayer games where you actually NEED Sixaxis either, so it's great when you have mates around and need another controller for FIFA or Tekken.

It works just fine on computers, too, but I noticed that on some games it had issues with the right analogue stick having their axis inverted. Not really sure why that happened, for example moving the stick right made CJ look up in San Andreas, and left looked down, but I managed to fix that by going into the options and just flipping them back. If you're playing a game that doesn't have that option, you can try downloading XPadder 5.3 for free (later versions cost money) and just flipping the axis around. On the plus side, the gamepad works from the get-go without any driver installations or issues. (I've only tested this on Windows Vista and Windows 7)

It also has a turbo feature, which I've tried using once or twice. Each button can have turbo enabled seperately as far as I can tell, so for example Circle might be turbo but the rest of the buttons stay normal. This would mean a whole lot more to me if I actually used turbo, though, but the feature's there if I need it so no complaints.
