Book Description

For Readers who have read the first three books in the series, this is John Reilly's story!

John Reilly is expecting a package from home, something light as a feather and twice as sweet. Little does he realize the package isn’t the baked goods he’s been dreaming of but a grown-up version of the thirteen-year-old girl who used to follow him everywhere.

When John Reilly doesn’t return to County Cork, Ireland, Jessi Fahy boards a ship and tracks him down. She arrives in Emerson, Colorado, hot, tired, and dusty, but he doesn’t recognize her. Five and a half years of waiting in vain, combined with a horrendous voyage and the realization that John doesn’t remember her, have Jessi fisting her hand and testing Mrs. Reilly’s secret weapon. With a wicked right cross, big John Reilly goes down like a stone.

In Book 4 of C. H. Admirand’s Irish Western Series, the temporarily disbanded Committee for the Betterment of Emerson is at it again! This time they accuse Jessi Fahy of setting fire to Peterson’s Stable, injuring Mr. Peterson, brawling in public and ruining the good name of the Flahertys’ foreman, John Reilly.

Aah I did enjoy this book although fourth in the series it was as good NO, better than the preceding ones. I do hope there will be more stories from Emerson as I have not had enough of the characters. Does Flyn have a story coming?

I hate leaving a book unread and I'm sure I'll try again at some point but it's so corny, you feel ridiculous reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars lighthearted historical 9 Sept. 2010
By Harriet Klausner - Published on Amazon.com
    Format:Hardcover
In 1878 the Committee for the Betterment of Emerson, Colorado has reconvened after a short temporary shutdown (see Pearl's Redemption); the members feel an urgent need to hold Jessi Fahy culpable. The CBE accuse Jessi of arson; setting on fire Peterson's Stable and causing injury to the owner. They also blame her for behavior unbecoming of a lady by her fighting in public and devastating John Reilly with a one punch knock out.

Over five years ago John Reilly left County Cork, Ireland and then thirteen years old Jessi for America. Jessi and John's mother team up to send her as a "present" to him. After an oceanic voyage and a trek across two thirds of America, Jessi arrives in Emerson only he fails to recognize the almost nineteen year old beauty. Frustrated with him and bone tired, she throws a right to his jaw that proves what his mom said: his jaw is made of glass; as one punch knocks out big John. Though the CBE demands Jessi leave, she refuses. Instead she hopes that her one punch KO knocked some sense into John that they belong together though outlaws and kindhearted Flynn distract her somewhat from her mission.

The latest Irish Western romance is a fun lighthearted historical starring a feisty female with a terrific right-cross and the man of her dreams with a glass jaw. The support cast, especially the CBE members especially Millie Peabody the town nosy body, enhance the tale of a brave woman seeking what she believes is her destiny.

A Gift from Home By CH Admirand
This is a story of John Reilly who left Ireland and went to America and left a girl behind who has always loved him. Jessi is heartbroken to find out that five years later John wasn't returning home like he promised. When John's mom devises a plan and sends him a gift from home, John has to come to terms with his feeling for his grown up Jessi.
I loved this book, it has a great story and you get to know the whole town and all the women who befriend Jessi. I like the strength Jessi has as a woman. It was a fun and easy read. I have read other books by CH Admirand and she hasn't let me down.

5.0 out of 5 stars book called Home by C.H.Admirand 6 Sept. 2013
By Val Mc Kinster - Published on Amazon.com
    Format:Paperback
I have read her books and the one I love the best is called HOME. It is so funny and yet serious, I have not read her books before. I won the set of 4 books, The Marshall, Home, Pearl's redemption and I must say that all her books have a very good lesson to learn. Once I started to read, I couldn't put it down. I finished the last been at 3am and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They are so well written, you feel like you are there with the characters. Well done C.H. ADMIRAND. I have read a lot of books but I love the way she writes, it is easy to follow and very relaxing to read. I wish she would write another one about the mother, it is left open on the end as to what happens to her after loosing one son and trying to protect her other twin son. It would be great if there was a story about her, she must have been a very strong lady to make the decisions that she did.
I look forward to reading more of her books.

Oh I was not disappointed. This book was as good as the others. We still have people today that cause problems. They are not happy and they do not want others to be happy. The power of a lie hurts so many.
