First of all, I have thought long and hard about how many stars to give this item as I am wondering if the good points outweigh the bad points.
This is the usual good quality Nokia in car accessory. It holds the X6 firmly with holes in all the right places to allow connection of useful items like an in car charger (essential if you're intending to use the SatNav function for any reasonable period of time). The 'phone slips in easily (from above as shown in the picture) and the top clip can be flipped down (and locked if desired) to fully enclose the 'phone.
So why, after such a glowing first part of the review have I now given it 5 stars and reduced it to 4 stars?
The problem comes with the rotation of the X6. Basically, the "home" screen is in portrait mode (if someone has found a way to make it rotate, then please add a comment). However, this holder is designed to work in landscape mode, meaning that the phone is on its side for dialing and the such like. Landscape, is simply better for navigation, but portrait does seem to be better for telephone usage.
Now I could rotate the holder to allow the 'phone to sit in a portrait manner. However, due to the slope of the windscreen and the short depth of this holder, the 'phone cannot sit upright, it must be angled right down (at least on my car which doesn't have a particularly shallow angle of windscreen). Basically, it just doesn't work in this mode...
So, if you're happy to operate the 'phone in landscape mode the whole time, then this mount is ideal; if not, then this might not be the right solution for you.
You decide....
