I hate conventional airbeds as you get shaken each time your partner moves and your bum touches the ground if a little air escapes.

Now used this 3 times, including a very rough field. Gives an EXCELENT nights sleep. However, it is a too heavy for walkers and does need 6-7 puffs of air each side.

Really good product. Does what you want it to and not the hassle of hours spent blowing up an air bed.
On severaly occasions we ended up having myself, my husband and our two young children all together on the mat to keep warm, and we still didn't hit the ground.

This product is exactly the one I wanted. It inflating itself quite quickly, but it takes time to roll it back though. Very good size for two adult or even three people. It is not slippery which is so important! I would receommend this mattress to everyone.

This is an excellent product and takes very little effort to inflate. It should normally be stored flat so that it self-inflates, so on the first use it requires some manual inflation. However since it is a thin mat this doesn't take long. We stored it flat for a few days before rolling it up again and taking it away on a camping trip, and it self inflated very well.

The mat is very good at keeping you warm and allows for a comfortable sleep on bumpy ground. The valve is very well designed, and doesn't lose any air overnight.

If I were to use it for a longer period of time than just a few nights I would probably buy a thicker mat or put a foam mattress underneath because 3 centimetres isn't quite thick enough for a really comfortable sleep.

Bought this for a camping trip around Scotland in April.

Before I bought this I used to use a massive blow up bed which deflated all the time and didn't keep us warm at all. We decided to purchase this mat and its amazing. Very easy to carry, blow up and it lasts for days inflated!

Great buy!

After reading the reviews myself my husband and I decided on this one after having a huge coleman airbed which seemed to take over the tent! I wont lie, I had a bit of a wrestling match to fold it back up but it is very warm, comfortable and even fitted my 2 year old between us with much room (and my husband is 6ft2). The little bit of inflatable does make it feel more like a 'bed'.

After doing a lot of research I bought this SIM for camping. However, I did test it when it arrived and I felt that it just wouldn't suit my husband and I.

For a start I felt it was too narrow (my husband is quite broad and tall though). Secondly I didn't really feel it was thick enough. Having said that my final conclusion after visiting a camping store too is that SIMs in general are not the most comfortable things. Even on top of a camp bed as some have recommended. If you like a firm bed then you would be happy with this purchase I'm sure. Also obviously as far as packing light goes this is really your best option.

Traditional air beds tend to get very cold at night, and the condensation - yuck. Cold floors, warm people and plastic don't mix so well in the great outdoors. Again that is personal opinion. I'm sure there's a equal mix of people begging to differ. I know someone said if you put an emergency blanket underneath the bed it counteracts this problem, but I thought they were crackly? Another suggested option is camp bed with air bed on top (like the eazybed). This is quite bulky though and you are restricted to a double size maximum which isn't really big enough (for tall people anyway). Some of the canvas tent companies sell amazing looking roll beds but they were a bit pricey for us (the Bill Brown ones aren't well reviewed overall).

In the end we bought mattress toppers from Ikea which are also foam but considerably thicker. They are not heavy but they are fairly bulky rolled up, but for us this was a small payoff for the extra comfort. I hope this helps!
