I bought this book for my daughter who is 15 and needed a core science revision book. She is really happy with it and has been constantly flicking through it since it came. I wasn't sure which book to buy for her as her teacher just told me to get a core science revision book to compliment her studies. She is also studying biology, chemistry and physics separately, but I was advised to buy a revision book to help with the fundamentals of the subject as a whole so she could better understand certain aspects of her other science-related studies. Apparently, schools do provide these text books, or similar, but it has helped a lot to have this at home for my daughter to refer to whenever she needs a bit of extra help. I thought she might just skip through it and leave it, but she's really finding it useful and it hasn't left her side.

My daughter has just got this revision guide, in preparation for her upcoming physics exam and also to use for the other exams later on next year. She looked at it day and night and made notes on everything. She told me that it was amazing and she could remember nearly everything as it was presented in such a clear way. However, she noticed that the pages on the Electromagnetic spectrum did not have information on the uses of 'X-rays', 'Gamma Rays' and 'Ultra Violet'. On a practice exam she printed out, it asks many questions on the areas not mentioned and she lost marks. It must be a mistake in the book. This was such a shame, as it got 5 stars up until then! It's not the end of the world, but it's a bit clumsy of AQA.

I purchased this for my son to aid his revision for the General Science exam.
I've been reading this with him when I help him. I must say I wish I had been fortunate enough to have had a book like this when I was his age!
Excellent study aid.Very easy to read and cleverly written.Appealing to the younger generation but at the same time it doesn't dumb down science.
