We use these books at school and they are by far the easiest to understand text book around. The diagrams are very easy to understand. The text is detailed but put it in easy enough terms for you to understand.

It is by no means perfect because over the last year I've found around 25 mis-spellings and grammatical errors but you can still understand it and they don't make much difference. Although because of this it seems like the book has been botched together quickly so they could start selling it, it is a very good quality book and vital learning resource.

If I had the money I'd buy these myself for revising at home but I don't so I'll have to put up with my exercise book. These are not revision guides so have no revision plan inside them but they have everything you need to know and lots of questions in to challenge you after you have read the page. There doesn't seem to be answers in the book so I think you'll either have to check your self by reading the information again or see if there is a teachers version with the answers printed in it (I've never tried searching for one so I can't tell you if there is one).

Hope this helped.

I bought this book to teach me the syllabus then, a few weeks before my exams I bought various GCSE Biology revision books for exam prep. Within two days I ended up throwing the revision books to the side and began relying solely on this book again. It really is all you need, to buy any other book is, as I ended up finding out, a complete waste of money. The only fault with it is that it doesn't contain the answers to any questions but I'm sure you could find them on-line somewhere or ask a teacher.

I bought this for my son who is currently sitting his mock GCSEs. As he doesn't have a very effective science teacher, this book has been invaluable and he has been able to self-teach. Worth buying.

This book is the perfect revision guide for GCSE biology. I would recommend this product along with the chemistry and physics editions. They are the most thorough books I have come across for GCSE Science and i would have been very stuck without them.

As it is specifically written for the AQA exams it contains details and examples that my teachers never mentioned but which came up in the exam!

I gained an A* in Science and I am positive that I could not have done it without this book- I found it gave me more information than the actual teachers!

If you are doing AQA Science then I highly recommend that you buy this book!

I used the Biology/Chemistry/Physics student textbooks of this series (and corresponding revision guides in the same series) for preparing for my GCSE's.

The books are excellent. Very thorough and comprehensive in every regard and respect. The course content is covered in its entirety and very well explained and illustrated. The systematic way in which the topics are laid out are very helpful. A robust and very useful index and glossary (where key words emboldened in the body text are given definitions) are also present. The abundant examiner's tips and hints are great for nailing the all-important exam technique.

Using this series of textbooks and revision guides I achieved 3 A*'s in each of the sciences of Triple Science and achieved 100% in all 9 modules of the course. Much of the credit goes to the quality of these books.

Highly recommended.

P.S. I have all 3 sciences' student textbooks and revision guides in like-new condition for sale if anyone is interested :)

This book is fantastic!
I have just received my GCSE results and have got two A's in my science Double Award!! I would have never have got them if I had not used this book and also the chemistry edition.
It makes the work seem interesting and you think less about the revision!
Definately buy it!

I got this book about a month before my GCSEs started and it was pretty much all I needed to revise. :) I ended up scoring 100/100 for all 3 Biology papers thanks to it :) The revision guide lists all the things you need to learn for the exam without going into lots of detail like in the textbook so your head doesn't get crammed full of extra details. :) The 3 questions at the end of every mini chapter was really helpful as it checked whether I really knew the topic or not. 5 stars :D
