Larry Hama creates another great series of stories, culminating in the first multi-issue story as a team of Joes visit a Himilayan kingdom and battle the Chinese.

The artwork's excellent and overall it's a great book.

Some of the Best Joe Stories Ever! 15 Jan. 2012
By Ernest Robertson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
IDW's brilliant reprinting of Larry Hama's "Special Missions" series continues! This volume includes:

#8 "Ambush"
Flint, Low-Light, Footloose, Beach-Head, Leatherneck, Wet-Suit and Tunnel-Rat parachute into south-east Asia to capture a traitor.

#9 "Plausible Denial"
Falcon, Psych-Out and Slipstream play mind games with three Russian prisoners, getting them to rescue an American CIA agent being held prisoner in Iran!

#10 "Turnabout"
Roadblock and Chuckles are on escort duty, protecting a prince from assassins!

#11 "Sheep's Clothing"
Scarlett, Lady-Jaye and Jinx held hostage by terrorists!

#12 "Airshow!"
Maverick's jet, the Vector, is stolen by Firefly!

#13 "Washout"
Dusty and Outback lead two Joes-in-training on a mission to blow up a secret weapons cache hidden in the desert in Trucial Abysmia. But things take a turn for the worse right off the bat...

#14 "In From the Cold"
Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Chuckles and Iceberg travel to the legendary "Valley of Eternal Mist" in the Himalayas to capture a rogue CIA agent! (This story continues in #15 which is collected in Special Missions volume 3.)

#12 is a little weak, but everything else is stellar - some of Larry Hama's sharpest Joe writing ever! #8, #13 and #14, especially, are some of my absolute favorites!
Amazing reproduction! 8 Jun. 2013

They did a great job of reproducing the coloring. I kind of miss the color dots (call me a purist), but all-in-all a faithful reproduction!
