G Force Transform! 9 Aug 2008
Ok, so it doesn't sound as cool as 'Transmute!'
but this incarnation of 'Gatchaman' is closer to the original.

If you can get past the constant 80s pop drum beat soundtrack, and the fact that the characters are no longer named what you remember, if you grew up with Battle of the Planets, then G Force stands up not too badly.

Gone are the annoying 7-Zark-7 segments, and in their place are some of the original fight scenes from Gatchaman. The action takes place on Earth, like the original, and is still pretty much fun when you give it a chance.

I'd recommend it, as I find it difficult to watch Battle of the Planets now, as to me it's a tad kiddy-tv. This isnt quite so bad. Just a pity it doesn't have the rights to use the BOTP theme...
