Product Description

From the Back Cover

One morning, little Fuzzypeg the Hedgehog wakes up very early.

"I'm going to school," he sings excitedly, and rolls downstairs in a prickly ball.

"Don't be late," his mother calls to him, as she waves goodbye.

When Tim and Bill Hedgehog see their cousin Fuzzypeg trotting down the road with his fine new school bag, they want to go to school too. So the three of them set off happily for Jonathan Rabbit's school with its walls of blackberry bushes and ceiling of blue sky.

They meet Hare, lolloping along, and of course Hare, being Hare, turns the whole day upside down!

About the Author

Alison Uttley was born in 1884 in Derbyshire. She wrote about her characters, “Why do children love them? Because I believe in them.” And it is easy to imagine that just over the next hill, little Grey Rabbit, quick Squirrel, bold Hare, kind Moldy Warp and little Fuzzypeg really are all going about their business.

Margaret Tempest illustrated the very first Little Grey Rabbit story and her partnership with Alison Uttley continued successfully over the next forty years. Her beautiful, witty watercolours are as much loved and remembered today as when the stories were first published.

Bought this book after purchasing 'Little Grey Rabbit Makes Lace' which my granddaughter loved. She loved this one too. I could not resist introducing her to my childhood favourites.

Having already bought Little Grey Rabbit makes Lace and enjoying it with my granddaughter, she chose this as the next one for us to buy. We loved it.

Fuzzypeg is one of the most delightful characters in the Little Grey Rabbit series, and deserves a story about his first day at school!
