Where do i start? From the fuzzed out,... rock of Blue Cheer to the bubblegum world of Paul Revere and the Raiders, this book has it all. The ultimate referance guide to those hard to find bands and the more obvious ones, with lots of stuff on either. Highly Recommended!

Awesome Resource 27 April 2006

Fuzz Acid and Flowers has been revised 2004. It is available through Amazon.co.uk.

This is the most complete review and identification of US Garage, Psych, Prog, Hard Rock, Folk Rock, Country Rock, and just plain Rock circa 1964 thru 1975, it does not deal with neo pysch or psych revival bands that came later.

You will be turned onto many bands, this is INDISPENSIBLE for fans and collectors.

British Rock is covered by Tapestry Of Delights revised May 2006.

Joynson does cover Hard/Heavy Rock dismissively so you may also want to Check out Martin Popoff's Collector's Guide To Heavy Metal Volume 1: The Seventies, and cross reference.

great book 22 May 2006
By J. Goddard - Published on Amazon.com
I used to often access this book and tapestry of delights online until one day I found out they had suddenly been removed. very dissapointing. although for some of the rarer bands there is definitley a lack of information, when you find how small these local bands were its amazing they are even documented. you also find alot of people who became stars much later in their careers. This book turned me on to so many new bands, including some that made one album or released one single due to winning a battle of the bands. The Utimate spinach,Dragonfly..Megaphone 1970, the Frumious Bandersnatch (who I found out went to my junior college)...its amazing things like that youll find from this book. Unfortantley being 21 years old I dont have over 200 bucks to spend on a freakin' guidebook esp. after buying a mosrite..granted it is thick as a phonebook but I would never spend money like that when i could buy gear.. I hope someday vernon allows it back online. If you have the dough buy this book.
