The book features 30 recent projects, including at least eight built works, and designs for products and furniture, and also a glossary of projects from 1958-92. This is a great book, if all your into is image, otherwise it is somewhat lacking in detail. No real or deep understanding is possible, only the superficial understanding of an ideas behind the projects are explored. How they work structurally, environmentally, how they are detailed. These are the questions I ask from a book that is exploring the workings of one of the truely more inspirational practices. I find none of that here, which is a great shame, a book that really explained the design concelptual and detailed would be a truely great thing. Only the Phaidon case study books begin to live upto this and even they are lacking. Perhaps I ask to much. This book is good but don't expect any answers just questions and inspiration.

WOW

Future Systems are one of the most inspiring Architectural practices of our time. I am incredibly biased because i love their projects and buildings, but this book is fun, very imformative, creative and emotive. I am an Interior Design graduate and this book has been a real help in making me feel like the impossible can be achieved. i have been working on my final major for a year, and i feel that it had the information i needed aswell as some great examples of bizarre buildings.

The layout is fantastic and there are many examples of where the design team got there inspiration from.

The book may be a little pricey for students, but it is worth every penny and if you need inspiring then this is a great buy!
