It's a pleasure to get hold of some remixes that, in most cases, do the original songs justice. More often than not, a remix strips the soul out of a classic song and can simply leave you feeling empty.

On Future Retro the mixes are mostly sympathetic and produce a quality result. This is usually down to good matching between artist & mixer but also to the stregnth of the original songwriting/performance (to wit: Depeche Mode = very strong; Alphaville = err, not so strong).

Highs: Cure/New Order/Depeche Mode & Morrissey
Lows: Howard Jones (New Song was never a good song)/Alphaville/that funny Space Invader noise on Bizarre Love Triangle . . .
