Chances are that if you're checking out this album, you're already familiar with Lovespirals (formerly Love Spirals Downwards). That's a good thing, as most of the songs on Future Past have the same feel as their previous releases - light, smooth and slow-paced (a few even feature their classic "electronic harp" effect). A couple songs sound more like jazzy lounge music, and Love, one of the best tracks on the album, moves a bit faster than the rest...but they all fit together like a pretty puzzle. The only weakness is that after Love, the album tapers down and the songs start to lose their luster, but at least they're still sweet. Overall, Future Past is both a throwback for their longtime fans and an progressive but accessible introduction for new listeners.

Wow! What a great CD. My personal favorite song is 'Love.' The soft music and haunting vocals make this a song I will be listening to over and over again for a very long time. Another favorite is 'Meanwhile, Irreplaceable Time Flees.' The guitar work in this song can easily equal or rival some of the greatest classic rock of the past. A truly wonderful album from beginning to end!!!
