Product Description

Get ready every Futurama and Matt Groening fan, here comes Futurama-o-rama, the very FIRST comic compilation based on the Emmy-nominated television show Futurama. It's a long way from making a pizza delivery on New Year's Eve to the bustling cityscape of New York in the 31st century, but for Phillip J. Fry it only took one little cryogenically frozen nap. Waking up in a future imagined by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Fry finds a job at an interplanetary messenger service and falls in with Leela, a sexy one-eyed space orphan, and Bender, an alcoholic misanthropic robot programmed to bend things. Blast off with this all-new Futurama comics collection, and leap feet first into a fun-filled future

excellent book 11 Dec 2002
Format:Paperback
i had already owned all the futurama comics from the states so had questioned whether it would be worth buying this as well.

but it is well worth the investment, you get the first five comics, but as well as that there are extra drawings that are used as breaks between the different sections, things like ads for something that will remove brain slugs, etc., it sounds bland from me but they are really are amusing.

the front cover is also intresting in that the pods that the crew are in is laminated, making just those parts of the front shine in the light, as if it were glass, worthless but intresting none the less.

if you like futurama you'll love this, but if you haven't seen futurama and are looking for a intelligent or sophisticated comic then go for something like Jimmy Corrigan, as this is aimed more at laughs rather than a social study.

4 comics in one book =) 8 Dec 2002
By Jørgen B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Much like The Simpsons comic books. The drawings are as we remember them from the tv-show, and they are good... The stories are kinda good, the characters talk and behave as they should. If you like comics and Futurama then buy, if you don't like comics then go buy the dvd set's ;)

It's so funny... 2 May 2003
By Joanna J. Young - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A great supplement to the DVDs (if you don't have them, you really should get them now!!). This book gives you several more adventures that Fry and the gang go on. The writing is pretty good - you can just hear the professor exclaiming "Goodness no!" and Bender making sarcastic cracks at everyone.

I think this is especially entertaining if you like reading comic books - but even if you don't (or have never tried), Futurama fans everywhere should find this book enjoyable.

Funny - Loved it! 6 Mar 2003

Format:Paperback
As someone who loved the show (and will miss it!), I grabbed the this book. It's as funny as the show and many pictures are worth a long look just to pick out the gags.
