The Poachpod is a flexible silicone cooking tool for poaching eggs, baking and moulding diameter 8cm microwave and dishwasher safe. The Poachpod allows you to float and poach an egg in boiling water like a lily pad on a pond. When the egg is ready, flip the non-stick pod inside out and gently push the perfectly domed shaped egg out. Heat resistant to 675oF or 357oC Gas mark 9. non stick. Slightly grease the Poachpod beforehand and cover pan with a lid which gives better results. Fusionbrands - You need it. We design it.

I bought these pods some time ago and initially wasn't impressed as the egg was overcooked on the outside and raw in the middle. However after a chance conversation with someone I know they told me that I should cover the pan with a lid and this would sort my problem. This I did and hey presto super poached eggs. Don't remember the instructions saying cover the pan when cooking but this is my tip for anyone thinking of buying these pods.

I love doing poached eggs on a lazy weekend, but the 'swirl in the water' method isn't very useful if you need to do more than one egg at the same time - by the time I've done the second one, my other half has demolished his already! These little poach pods are a brilliant idea and work really well. I don't have a saute pan so just use a saucepan (filled about 2 inches deep and with the lid on) big enough for them to sit side by side floating. I find they take a little less than the recommended 4 minutes but once they're at the right level of cooked for you, just pick them up (they do get a bit hot!) and flip them inside out. You get a perfectly rounded poached egg. And because you've oiled them beforehand, they're a dream to wash up afterwards. A genuinely useful kitchen gadget, if you love poached eggs!

I love eggs, I love poached eggs, but have never mastered the swirling technique and my egg poaching pan thing always seems to over cook them. I've had these poach pods for a couple of weeks now and am totally impressed ,great shape and runny yoke , I might even attempt the eggs benedict again now. Totally recommended and foolproof I think.
