5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for your CD collection! 21 May 2010
Format:Audio CD
I have been listening to the tracks on Fuse's website and watched them on YouTube and I can tell you I can hardly wait to get my mitts on this album. If you're like me and are a bit bored of the cliché cross-over violin sound this is definitely for you. It contains rock anthems that everyone knows like "I love rock n roll", "Fix you" and if you have an ear for a bit of classical music you mustn't miss "Led Carmina (Kashmir/Carmina Burana) which is a very clever fusion of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana (which is one of my favourite pieces by the way). So neighbours beware as soon as my CD arrives I will be rocking it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Britain's Brightest New Stars! 9 Jun 2010
Format:Audio CD
Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee aka Fuse have invented their own unmistakeable sound with their bespoke electric violins and created something very special and unique. Despite the fact I've seen this in the shops in the Classical section the only thing classical about it is that it is full of classic rock anthems that have been given a very special Fuse treatment. Their version of Coldplay's Fix You has been cleverly interwoven with excerpts from Suo Gan and the gentle voices in the background help create and maintain the emotional meaning of the song. As a complete contrast their interpretation of Carl Orff's O Fortuna has been fused with Led Zeppelin's Kashmir for a truly dramatic end to an extraordinary CD. These are just two tracks - there are twelve more examples of what the world of Fuse has to offer. I have a feeling Fuse will be around for a long time and will soon be leading the way in exciting and innovative sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply great! 27 May 2010
Format:Audio CD
I've received my pre-ordered Fuse album a few days ago and I can't have enough of it. These guys have rewritten music history. I love all the tracks especially Glorious. They made them their own with their very own sound. I wish i could play the violin like they do!

4.0 out of 5 stars suprisingly different - it rocks 27 May 2010
Format:Audio CD
I didn't think I was into electric violin music, until a friend invited me to a charity gig where Fuse was playing. And I have to say that I was presently surprised... the electric violin actually adds a different texture to the music and gives it a bit more depth. I enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fuse 6 Oct 2010
By Etterna
Format:Audio CD
Brilliant!,at last we have an artist who is using the electric violin in a different dimension to all those other violin diva's out there and very good they are too but this is so different and its what ive always wanted to hear the instrument being played to its extremes like an electric lead guitar!,why someone is finding the audio quality inferior i have no idea maybe the settings on their audio equipment are wrong for i have no problem with distortion or effects like a scratchy vinyl record, buy it,love it!,in the meantime i long for Linzi's first debut album to be released soon i hope.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enfused 2 Sep 2010
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I came across Fuse on YouTube and on the strength of one piece I bought the CD. It is an extremely well produced CD and if you like rock and violin it is well worth a listen. I would certainly buy a second CD if Fuse released one assuming they maintained the same quality and creativity as in the first one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glee on electric violin? 24 May 2010
Format:Audio CD
I have been watching Linzi Stoppard and Fuse for a while. They are very friendly on twitter and I think their youtube videos are amazing!
I am a big fan of Escala and Bond, so I already liked the elctric violin but unlike these groups, Fuse have rearranged rock and pop songs like "Fix You" by Coldplay and "I love Rock n Roll" by Joan Jett. The guitar solo on Michael Jackson's "Beat It" is actually played on violin - mind blowing!!!
Their 1st song Glorious is so catchy, and I like the way they play the songs for two violins in harmony at times. These are modern classics.
I'm looking forward to the second album already....can I suggest some songs?
I think this album is a bit like Glee, my favourite songs recorded in a completely new way. I just love the sound of Fuse!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great driving CD ! 23 May 2010
By JBaring
Format:Audio CD
Hi, saw these guys on The Alan Titchmarsh show attempting the world violin speed record, and think they also performed "Glorious".
This track was tailor made for a violin group with an edge, sounds amazing in this form.
All tracks are interesting interpretations and version of classic rock anthems, some 80's, 90's and today's. Fleetwood Mac's "Go You Own Way" following into "The Chain"is a masterfully idea.
Other highlights are "Final Countdown", "Fix You" (really cinematic moving sound), the "Top Gun Anthem" and "Led Carmina" (another really creative idea).
What really grabs me is that this sounds so different from most other violin artists I have heard. Instead of sounding like a violin it's rocks like a guitar. What an eye opener. Love it.
Definitely one for driving too.
Cheers guys! :)
Jim.
