Britt Reid (Van Williams) might be a newspaper publisher by day, but by night he is The Green Hornet - scourge of the criminal underworld. Together with his trusty Kung-Fu-fighting valet Kato (Bruce Lee), he fights corruption and combats injustice, all the while travelling at superfast speeds in his trusty customised car - the feared and hotly-debated Black Beauty. This 1976 movie version of 'The Green Hornet' was the second of two feature films compiled from episodes of the 1966-67 TV show, and features our heroes battling bent coppers, foiling art heists, busting drug traffickers and dodging deadly ray guns.

i'm not a big fan of "the green hornet" series, it takes itself far too seriously when it should have been played for laughs, like the "batman" series.
however, the latter programme wasn't blessed with bruce lee and his martial arts skills. he is the one that makes this compilation of episodes watchable, with his on-screen charisma and athletic abilities.
as the opening and closing credits aren't included with these "green hornet" episodes, i was a bit confused when footage that isn't part of any of the storylines was included here and there.
not a bad dvd but only worth watching and keeping if you are a bruce lee fan.

quite cool, though by no means the best of Bruce Lee. The episodes are spliced together badly, but the fight scenes still look amazing. Overall, a good buy for anyone who loves martial arts.

The splicing is more ridiculous than bad and can be tolerated.
It is still a good dvd for sitting with the other Green Hornet "movie" on your shelf when you're in the mood for some retro tv.
