Review

'FURY is a winner - great bomb-ticking suspense, a wonderful sense of place, fine writing and flesh-and-bones characters. Must reading.' HARLAN COBEN 'G. M. Ford is one of my favorite contemporary crime writers. Hilarious, provocative, and as cool as a March night in Seattle, he may be the best-kept secret in mystery novels. With the exhilarating FURY, he's at top of his game and that's as good as it gets' DENNIS LEHANE

a really good read 27 Jun 2004
Format:Paperback
I really enjoyed this book, unlike some books of this genre I did not see the end coming and the story progressed at a good pace. Even when you think it is the end it isn't. The characters are interesting and story jumps from place to place but is still easy to follow. I am off to buy the second book!.

I bought this book and eagerly awaited took this book to bed with me. I found the format rather 'tired', so much the same as other books. I couldn't get into any of the characters at all and actually despised the main character! Not a good start I have to say. Within 100 pages the book with fury was thown onto the pile to be given to the local hospital... perhaps someone else will like it more than I did.

I was disappointed with the tired revamping of a ponytailed journalist who lives on his boat and eshews the public eye. He's bitter about other journalists, corporate USA, his ex-wife, any type of law enforcement and the democratic process in general.

I found it a tired reworking of the simple plot of saving the (thoroughly obnoxious) innocent man from the death penalty.

It gave me wry smile about how quickly I disliked most of the characters for their self serving arrogance.
