How can you be subtle and hugely powerful at the same time? How can you sound both unspeakably vulnerable and supremely powerful? Go one way and you take the arrogant Oasis route, go the other and you'll be to scared to let anyone even hear the record. Unless you're Geneva, that is. Potent guitars and melodies most bands would kill for are married to one of the most beautiful, fragile falsettos you're likely to hear. Catch it in the wrong frame of mind, and "Tranquilizer" will have you blubbing into your Rice Krispies, while "Into The Blue" is just irresistible. If you don't fall in love with it, you have obviously never had your heart broken. Gorgeous. ---Emma Johnston

The sadly underated debut album of Geneva, is nothing short of a masterpiece. Haunting melodoies and chilling vocals manage to connect the ordinary to the epic. Stories concerning the simple passions of life are transformed into meaningful dramas concerning human experience. A ordinary man's thoughts on love passing him by, is translated into a romance of regret and sorrow. The bands vast array of emotions... sadness, longing, solitude and triumph, are expressed by the whispering guitars, crashing drums and the distinct vocals of Andrew Montgomery. The feelings of life are given new glory, impact and meaning.

Can't type.....paralysed by utter joy at a brilliant, yet sadly neglected album. Chilling lyrics, marvellous guitars and a fantastic atmosphere. I hate to compare them to Suede but I have too, purely on the same level of musical genius. Well done lads, 10 thumbs up.

I first heard of these AGES ago, i saw them live, supporting Suede.
Then i went and bought this album.
I dont know too much about them, except that the lead singer has the voice of an angel (male)
Really nice chillout/indie songs with catchy lrics and riffs.
I can only compare them to JJ72 (ish)
Its a really good album, deffo one to have in your collection.
Give it a try.
