I am the fortunate possessor of -to date- three books by Betty Norbury. The fourth one is on its way (always via Amazon, I want you to know). Ever since I bought the first one ("Bespoke") I was inevitably hooked: I wanted them ALL and, barring unforeseeables, I am about to have them. For anybody who simply enjoys the look and feel of a well produced tome, these are a must. For those who in addition love superbly crafted objects, my advice is: get them all! These books are fine things in their own right; filled as they are with superbly displayed images of beautiful items of furniture, and written by Mrs Norbury, they BELONG in every booklover's library. The delivery was not just punctual, but much in advance of the advised term, the book was well packaged and the service up to Amazon standards. Many thanks.

good designs

This is a richly illustrated, panorama of contemporary English furniture makers and their designs. Several pages of color photos are devoted to each artesian. If there is a focus it is on lamination and the blending of several materials with wood, such as metals and glass. The quality of the illustrations could allow one to faithfully adopt proportions and curves to ones own designs. I look foreward to similar books dealing with other cultures and countries.
