Well, that's 8 out of my 8 cats prefer being groomed by it.
I discovered this product last week at one of the vet practises used by Animal Krackers, our Sunderland pet rescue and support charity where I mostly deal with rescued cats. The vet was using it on an oldish unwell cat and I tried it while she was out of the room. I couldn't believe how easy and effective it was and the cat loved it. The vet said it was the best tool she'd ever used for normal cat grooming. And she's right, it's brilliant. It goes smoothly and easily through the fur of short and long-haired cats gathering all the loose fur up and in a way that doesn't discomfort the cats. And you'd be surprised how much loose fur there is on cats that don't even look as if they need grooming. Just a word of advice: remove the fur after every stroke because it's so effective that if you don't the fur will go everywhere, especially on your clothes. This isn't cheap (though it's cheaper from Amazon marketplace than anywhere else) but it's worth every penny. Essential for every cat-owner.

Received this today - it had arrived phenomenally quicky (esp since postage costs were not in addition to the vry low price). I have two dogs - a staffie, which constantly leaves bristles from one end of the house to anothr, and a westie, who hates being groomed and is covered with big furry scales which I periodically chop off. I've tried it on both, and it works! There were enough bristles to construct an average sized hedgehog from the staffie, and sufficient wool to knit a tea-cosy off the westie (would have been more, but I had to groom around the tats). When she has had her hair cut this weekend, I am going to use it to keep her looking fabulous, instead of like a mobile compost heap. (Before you berate me, she was a rescue dog, had been badly used, and took ages to get used to anything - forced grooming seemed the least of our worries . . .). Tonight I try it on our (half-persian) cat. You may hear me screaming . . .
