I got this as a christmas gift for my niece. After setting it up (which was very easy, all you have to do is screw the head on to the body, and zip the fur together) i tried it out to make sure all was well, and i must say that i was almost envious of my five year old niece! hee hee. It is so lifelike and cute, all you want to do is pet it. Its head moves from side to side and it makes crunch sounds when you put your hand, or the carrot (which comes along with it) in its mouth. She also comes with a brush, and an adoption certificate. After it was set up, my cousin appeared with her two children (who are older - 9 and 11) who were mesmerised and couldn't be torn away! The horse is also very large and the look on my niece's face on christmas day was priceless, she fell in love. Any little girl would absolutely love it - i know it is the kind of toy i would have loved as a child. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The only area where it didn't get five stars from me was the 'educational value' score - it isn't really educational, but it is most certainly fun, and sometimes fun is all that matters!! FIVE STARS! (make sure you buy all your batteries before hand because it would be so cruel to give a child this and not be able to have it properly set up. It requires 6 of them large, D batteries.)
