This booklet aims to provide simple and straightforward advice to parishes on how to gather money towards fabric bills. The information and advice in this booklet should be of use, not only for repairs, but also as an aid to the mission of the Church and the spreading of the gospel. The Council for the Care of Churches is now part of the Cathedral and Church Buildings division of the Archbishops' Council. Its priority is to assist parishes to release the mission and worship potential of church buildings through careful stewardship. It seeks to enable parishes to use, care for and develop their buildings. The Council offers advice on all aspects of the care and conservation of church buildings, their furnishings and fittings and distributes grants for their conservation.
