(REVIEW FOR STUDY TEXT. FOR SOME REASON AMAZON HAS LISTED THIS REVIEW FOR THE REVISION PACK AS WELL)
Although not marketed as such, I get a sneaking suspicion that this book was intended to supplement taught classes at Kaplan. There is insufficient information in it for self study.
For example, at the end of every chapter there are test your understanding quizzes. Some of the questions haven't been covered at all in the body of the text.
It also refers to legal cases, in an incomplete way, assuming you have more information about them than covered in the book.
The written style is also obtuse... like a knowledgable person imparting his/her understanding, without regard to the target audience, namely a law beginner. We have all had teachers like this at school.. clearly they know what they are talking about but they lose 90% of the class and bore.
Avoid if you want to self study.
It might fit in well in a taught cirriculm.
Now I need to find an alternative. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I purchased the BPP equivalent and found it to be much clearer (available on Amazon, cheaper)
