This book is great for the basic knowledge needed, and as a med student who hadn't studied biology at A level it to be very usefull. The problem is it often doesn't go into nearly enough detail, meaning I have to turn to my trusty Gosling or Guyton. Worth buying if you lack a basic knowledge but not nearly good enough to use as your main anatomy/physiology book.

All you need to read! 13 Feb 2002
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Excellent text book for any med/nurse or physiology student. Very well laid out, organised in an easy to learn step by step pattern. Makes even difficult concepts easy to understand and follow through. It was all I needed for my physiology module. The acccompanying CD-rom really helps, particularly the spoken tutorials.
