Both my sons love this - my 5 year old is now a free reader and my 2 year old is learning how to articulate different sounds by trying to copy the sounds he hears.

I was surprised at the negative review by one customer, but less so when I read the attached comments to this review which were most helpful - ie. the books recommended in this review were written by this reviewer.
Anything which assists with a love of reading, and helps the process of learning to be fun rather than stressful, has to be a good thing. Both my sons love books and as a parent I'm happy with this.

My son is 2 and a half years old and absolutely loved this program on TV.
When the series finished we bought the DVD, which he is transfixed by.
My son now knows all of his letters and can recite the entire alphabet - which he thinks is a great game !!!

I bought this along with the other pack, Letters & Sounds. I couldn't believe the value for money, to get 5 reading books and a DVD for Amazon's price of £5.99. The books are numbered from 1 to 5, so you start with the easiest sounds first. The characters in the books are bright green, and my 4 year old loved them. The added bonus of the DVD makes learning to read so much easier, and my child is always asking to watch it, so desparate is he to learn to read like his older brother. A great buy, highly recommended.
