Product Description

Review

Andra was seven years old when she learned to knit, and we reckon she drew on her memories of playtime when designing the fantastic projects in this book. The clothes will fit a 46cm or 18in tall doll and there are 14 garments to knit, including a sundress, skirt, cheerleader's outfit, bathrobe and slippers. The emphasis here is very much on 'easy', so most knitters will find these knits a cinch. There's no stitching on snaps or hook-and-eye closures involved - all of the clothes are slip on, which means simpler knitting for you. This is an American book, so UK readers will want to convert the measurements into centimetres (though we know lots of you prefer inches). But do persevere with that - a little girl somewhere will be very glad that you did.-Knit Today

I have knitted the jumper, track suit and cheer leaders outfit, all easy to follow patterns. There is no indication of what type of wool needed, i used double knit and it was ok. It is a great pattern book and i intend to knit them all.

Knitting needle sizes are American which caused initial problems. Otherwise the book was terrific value for money, directions were clear and easy to understand. Extra guidance on stitches and how to crochet were really useful.

Overall the book was far superior to English patterns I have bought and so well presented that I couldn't wait to get started.

This book was just what I needed. My granddaughter got an American Girl Doll for her birthday & since I am an avid knitter, I wanted to make her some clothes. She was just as thrilled as I was with all the patterns. Thank you for carrying this product, I have been to all the local stores & came up empty. You have made my granddaughter very happy.

The instructions in this book are very easy to follow and don't require alot of unnecessary steps. I have been able to use any yarn as long as it was it the worsted weight category and have the clothes turn out wonderful. My granddaughters are thrilled with the clothes and the fact that they go on the dolls without alot of trouble.

Fun to Knit Doll Clothes 4 April 2011
By Ann Knight - Published on Amazon.com

This doll knit book is excellent and has many beautiful doll clothes for the 18 inch doll. Some are a little difficult being so small but I did them and they turned out great. It would be a great book for some of the stores who handle many kinds of yarns. It is a book you want to have for the l8 inch dolls.

Fun-to-Knit Doll Clothes 11 Jan. 2011
By SAL - Published on Amazon.com

I bought Journey Girl Dolls(2) at Toy's R Us. Made doll clothes from Fun-To-Knit doll clothes book I ordered from Amazon.com. Two of each so only got skirt, hat, and dress for the girls by Christmas. Was surprised I got the book in time to get that much done. Also that I could just make them from the pattern and they fit. One country girl and one city girl and they both loved them. Sal
