When I was thinking of buying this I look at the reviews and it said why couldn't it have been in the series. Personally I felt it would be too much filler for the series. I would recomend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little extra 28 Feb 2013
This OVA is mixture of short stories about some characters from the series & just gives a little more about them. Also the bonus content is great too... ^^ A great treat for any FMA fan who's missing the series & wants to dabble again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The OVA Collection 9 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase
This is the 4 part OVA series for Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, which mostly consists of side stories and prequel shorts for various characters.

No, they're not all top notch and it's mainly for fans, but it's Fullmetal Alchemist - Arguably the best anime ever made - ON BLU RAY! You can't go wrong with that!

Now go buy this (along with the newly released Full Metal Alchemist Movies 1 & 2 Double Pack (The Sacred Star Of Milos/Conqueror of Shamballa) [Blu-ray]) so we can get the rest of the show released on Blu Ray, damnit!

4.0 out of 5 stars FMA - Great Anime 23 Jan 2013
By L. Woolridge TOP 500 REVIEWER
I really enjoyed this mini boxset (it truly is mini) as it bought back all of the memories of the original series and made me want to rewatch FMA from the first episode again. I was a little bit disappointed about the lack of episodes and truly feel that these few episodes could have been thrown into the actual series, and it feels a bit of a cash in. I'm not saying these episodes weren't good, I had just hoped that there might have been maybe 7 or 8 episodes that could have been really great and one in particular just felt like a super-filler episode.

All in all I enjoyed watching this OVA but just wish there had been a couple mre episodes for me to enjoy.
