About the Author

Cara Lee is the name used for the dystopian works of Misti Wolanski (who otherwise writes outright fantasy). Technology, biology, propaganda, and the moral implications of all three have fascinated the author since she first noticed how people with power tend to abuse it. She now writes stories that explore control and the boundaries where helpful becomes hurtful, and vice versa. At least, that’s what she does when her cat isn’t trying to sneak sips of her coffee.

good short story 6 Aug 2014

It took me a while to get this short story, but the more I've considered it, the better I like it. Good characters and ending, although more of the exciting scenes could have been explored at the climax. While the story revolves around a relationship, it's not science fiction romance, and I like that, too. Despite the greedy corporation theme, which is starting to feel dated, it's a solid four stars.
Left me wanting more! 2 Oct 2014

This short story was a good read and the offer to read Thrice Uncharmed captured my enjoyment of the writer's style. I wish there was more to the short story but having opted in purchasing more of her work, I expect to like that book also.
