Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Designed to test your child's knowledge of Key Stage 3 Maths, English and Science, these disks use the same format as the earlier Full Marks Key Stage programs, using simple games based on multiple choice answers. Each of the three disks coves 10 or 11 areas of each subject, giving the user a choice of four different games to play on each disk. Those who have used the earlier programs should be warned that there is only one new type of game in the set, which may reduce their children's involvement in the game-play, and they may prefer to look at alternative programs.

The tests are designed to be used once the pupil has covered the basics of the subjects. Using them too early might be discouraging but should the field not have been covered adequately at school the software provides a potted version of the topic, which will give the student all the information they need to answer the questions. The software requires a minimum of 16MB RAM, Pentium or equivalent. --Julia Cresswell

Very diaspointed and so is my 11 year old son. Unfortunately the names are not saved/ stored in the programme at all, so everything accomplished by the child is lost when you end the programme.Basically it is like using it for the first time each time you start the programme. My son is now not at all interested in these as he finds the software frustrating. In short, print off all the child has achieved each time they are on, so they know where to start from next time. Not a programme I would advise buying.

Game play ? ? ? / 30 Nov 2000

To be honest I was a little dissapointed in this product. The idea of learning by playing games is a great one it just seems a shame that the game play got in the way of the learning. As the questions got harder the game play did. I was hoping that getting a question right was more important that shooting a skelenton.
