I have had nothing but trouble with this since I bought it last year. The Vista Home Basic is unreliable, and the battery life is no more than 55 minutes at the lowest power saver setting, which is due to it only having a 4 cell lithium battery (an upgrade to a 6 cell is over £80).
I attempted to update the RAM, and was forced to drill out one of the screws on the casing to allow access. Now it is starting to develop power problems, with it flashing between battery and mains as the machine can't make up it's mind if there is a mains lead and battery attached. It has a great screen and was dirt cheap, and maybe I've had my money's worth after 12 months, but I am now ready to upgrade to a Sony for the peace of mind.
