IS IT BETTER THAN THE X10? 21 Nov 2013
The X20 handles a little bit better simply because having the viewfinder information is a massive plus for the X20. Beyond that there isn't much difference in day-to-day use and if you limit your question to image quality then I don't see any changes worthy of mention..
Does this camera have a metal or plastic body? 14 Mar 2014
The bulk of the camera body is made of "die-cast magnesium alloy", and the zoom ring, top-plate dials and lens cap are also metal (I believe the extending lens barrel exterior is also metal). Various smaller bits and pieces, e.g. buttons, rear control wheels, the battery/connector doors, and the viewfinder surrounds are of course plastic. Plenty more information here... http://www.fujifilm.eu/uk/products/digital-cameras/proenthusiast-fixed-lens/model/x20/ and http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm-x20
Has anyone got any experience in processing the RAW files in the likes of Photoshop Lightroom, and if so, are there any issues I need to be aware of? 4 Apr 2014
I have been shooting with an X20 for almost a year now and 99% of the files have been processed through Adobe Camera RAW inside Photoshop (which has the same engine as Lightroom). I have had no real issues with either CS6 or CC versions of the software and the .RAF files. The Fujifilm RAW format needs to be handled in subtly different ways to the Canon .CR2 that I use most of the time but that only took me a short time to get to grips with and for me the main difference was that the Fuji files required a slightly greater reduction in the shadows and to have the highlights brightened. I found that the .RAF files made excellent B&W conversions without much effort at all.
What's it like in different low-light situations without flash? Panasonic Lumix LX7 with F1.4 lens is very good. How good is the X20? 22 Mar 2014
I'm afraid I have no experience of the Lumix LX7 so I cant make a direct user comparison. On paper the LX7 looks like it should have the edge over the X20 in low light (at least if you are looking to minimise grain). Having said that I have used the X20 in low light a number of times and I have never been unhappy with the results, however I have always used low ISO settings and I always shoot raw.
Are there any other cases that fit this camera? I'm not keen on the leather stay-on case. 9 Jan 2014
Would suggest you look at the Gariz half case from Lovecases: http://www.lovecases.co.uk/gariz-genuine-leather-fuji-x10-half-case-brown.html It has the advantage that you can change battery or SD card without removing the case.
Hi Don't have lightroom. Photoshop CS6 will works well on raw files but bridge throws a wobbly some times when you try to do fill info.
