The grain when combined with a high acutance developer such as Rodinal is fine and the tone range has a high degree of latitude. It is a fraction of the price of the film from certain well-known favourites in the B&W world, but it doesn't disappoint.

This is the stuff I was waiting for for 20 years. Good speed, fine grain and great smooth tones (even in 35mm). It seems truly panchromatic and will separate clouds from a blue sky even without a filter. With a yellow filter the effect is quite dramatic. Short development times too. The ISO 400 Neopan isn't bad either. If Fuji really do end up as the last film manufacturer on the face of the earth, as is their stated intention, I can live with that.
