Its large, bright 2.7" LCD screen makes composing and viewing images easy, and the big, rubber-like buttons are easy to use when you're quickly trying to capture those awesome underwater adventure shots.
There's no fun in taking pictures if you can't share them. With the FinePix Z33WP you can resize images using the Blog Mode and quickly and easily upload them to social networking sites like Flickr and Facebook, so you can wow all your mates with your impressive action shots!

Fun packed self-timer functions
Boasting Fujifilm's acclaimed, ultra-fast, Face Detection technology, the FinePix Z33WP cleverly detects up to ten faces in a frame and adjusts focus, exposure and white balance to reveal perfect people pictures.
The technology works regardless of the subject's position in the frame, and is not confused by anyone wearing glasses. To avoid the dissapointing results of red-eye, Face Detection goes one step further by detecting any red-eye in the shot and automatically removing it as the picture is taken.
Also featured are Couple Timer and Group Timer modes, which work by allowing you to select the number of faces to feature in a frame, and waiting to take the picture until that number of faces appear.

Couple Timer goes a step further and allows you to select how close the couple will be - 'Near', 'Close-up' or 'Super Close' - and the camera will take the shot once the two faces are at the specified proximity. Great fun to use!

Having had a Canon Ixus destroyed by some Coke poured on it, I was looking for a waterproof camera. This market is rather limited, namely Olympus U, Pentax Optio, and that is when I stumbled on to this camera. It is the lightest of them all, and the pictures are great. Battery life is much better than the Pentax and Olympus (I possess all these cameras to compare). Macro mode, which I use a lot, allows you to take some stunning pictures. I have not tested the waterproof feature yet, but as long as it withstands the occasional rain splash, or an accidental drop in the puddle, then I am fine. One other thing I like about the Fuji Z33WP is that it uses standard SD cards (not an xD card as in the Olympus). One thing about waterproof cameras is that due to the fact that the lens housing has to keep out water, the lens itself does not protrude or retract like a typical zoom camera. This, in my opinion, makes the picture quality lesser than that of a retractable lens camera. However, this is also its strength, as I used to have a Casio Z750, which takes the best pictures of all cameras I have had, but the lens housing stopped retracting the lens just after the warranty runs out, and replacing is nearly as expensive as buying a new camera. I bought this Fuji Z33WP camera to carry around with me at all time for blogging and citizen journalism, but it ends up being so useful and keeps producing fantastic shots, that now we have three in the family, one black, one gold, and this pink one, and they become indispensable whenever we are on holiday.

i dont normally leave a a review but after reading some of the negative comments on this little camera which i was in two minds to buy this, I have a good camera and just needed something waterproof and everyday .......i must say i am very happy with it its very compact and well worth the money . i have played with the diffrent setting on the camera and have taken some lovley snap shots i have taken it to the swimming pool as my daughter does syncro swimming and the vid was very good as were the pictures cant wait to take it on my hols to the maldives ..... it it also very compat and just fits nice into a handbag so u can take it anywhere with you ....i find the automatic scene recognition setting very handy .... yes i would get this camera for a gift for someone who like snap shots ..... but not for the avid cameraman who like big cameras n lots of gadgets to boot :D my rating is *****

My daughter (who is 9) has been hassling us for some time to get her a digital camera. She really likes playing with ours, but as it's a Nikon dSLR and cost about £400, we are a little reluctant.
We decided to buy her this camera after I had seen it in action at the school where I work. It had been given a very hard testing by the 13-yr old that owned it (and lots of his friends), and had survived. What can I say? When you think what a waterproof camera would have cost even 2 years ago, to find one for under £100 by a recognised "brand" was a steal! And we have been delighted with it. It's VERY pink (and the other colours are pretty bright too) but it is light, battery life is good (and the battery recharges very quickly anyway) and the pictures from it are really very good indeed for a point and click. Video mode, too, is a bonus,. We've taken it in the sea, in the pool, dropped it on the sand, and it has come through unscathed. I would thoroughly recommend the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP Silicon Jacket; it doesn't make any difference to the waterproof-ness, but is cheap and prevents scratches and dents! All in all, we are both (as you can maybe tell!) really happy with it and recommend it without reservation.
