The new Fujifilm Finepix Z35 doesnt pretend to be a pro camera...
In fact it boasts about the fact its a fun camera for taking pictures as quickly and as easily as possible. From turning the camera on to taking a picture its about 2 seconds, which is awesome to catch an un-expected moment.
Onto the camera itself more in depth then, the build of the camera is great, strangely its made from plastic but feels solid and its coated for grip. I was suprised realy after using the Casio Exiluims which are steel, i didnt expect to feel like it was just as solid and hard wearing.
The camera can shoot at 10MP, but like ALL compact cameras its pointless as regardless of the MP range, its the lens thats important. This camera however uses a small lens but an efficient one. We took several shots with different settings and the quality was realy maxed out at 10MP on a A4 Format print, anything above that you noticed a drop in printing quality, like i said before, even though its 10MP, the lens cannot cope.
But that doesnt mean it isnt good, in fact it performs miles better than most of its rivals in the price range, as above, if printing A4 size or below, the quality is amazing. The battery life is solid enough to last a few hundred photos, its light but solid. Small too compared to other cameras but still packs a punch.
Functions wise its a little slim, face recognition and scene recognition add a little beef to it, also video recording adds a little extra and is pretty good quality but well if you wanna record videos alot, buy a camcorder as they are cheap enough now and do a better job.
All in all, this is a top top camera for its price, takes great photos and looks great! The ultimate festival or party camera!!!
