At the press of a button, this mode identifies up to 10 human faces in a scene, and sets the correct focus and exposure, regardless of where subjects are located within the frame. The FinePix Z200fd then instantly checks each detected face for red eye, and if found, corrects it automatically in the camera, avoiding the process of editing later.

    Very pleased with results so far; especially as the camera is ready for action so quickly and it's very easy to capture a spontaneous image. Quality is good in auto mode, but I need to become quicker at going through the menus especially for white balance and exposure adjustments. It's exactlty what I wanted i.e. small enough to carry everywhere, great picture quality, not too expensive and quick to use. Oh, and the battery life is excellent

    I am delighted with this little camera. Have now got an 8GB SD card in it (about 3,500 pictures in 3:2 mode).
    You can use it as a 'point and shoot' camera and it is quick to start. All the lens workings are internal, which means you can put it flat against a window, which is the best way to take shots through glass, so I get quite good pictures from the coaches when we go on holiday.
    The batteries are tiny, so I have got two spares, which will see me through a long day, and the recharger is small and light enough to take with you and only takes a couple of hours to recharge each battery.
    Has good range of built-in shooting modes, and the anti-blur and anti-shake seems to work quite well. Small enough to go in your shirt pocket and light enough to carry with you wherever you go, so you need never be without a camera. Video quality also seems quite good to me.
    I use the Voice Memo function to record details of my photos (rather than scribbling things on scraps of paper like a used to do), and this could be better placed in the menu; also the LCD can be difficult to see in bright sunlight and there is no viewfinder, but these are a minor grumbles.
