Depending on your expectations, it's still a compact camera and not an SLR with a professional lens. I carried it arround in my pocket and nothing got dented. I think it's a top quality camera, which deserves to be handled with just a little care. Picture quality is absolutely cool, once you start using the predefined programs. To me it was important to have a good looking and slim camera that I can take along anytime and which provides decent snapshot quality.

I'm usually a great fan of Fuji but I wasn't that impressed and have decided to buy something different. If you're only using it for parties and snapshots, it's great. Solid, lightweight, functional and packed full of gadgets and gizmos...not to mention very pretty! If, however, you're after something a bit more serious, you can get a lot better for less.
In darker conditions, without flash, there is a lot of noise on the images. The shake control makes no differene. In fact, even in bright daylight, the camera manages to blur pictures. Internal lenses aren't a great idea anyway. The flash isn't as intelligent as it claims to be - there was far too much bleaching of subjects.
Overall, good for nights out but not for much more.

This camera is small, lightweight, 8mp, 5 x optical zoom and takes good pictures, its also very easy to use and looks great. This is a good purchase for everyday use, holidays ect. People sometimes expect too much from a little camera its not buit for professional shooting but for day to day use.

Useless Toy
Within days this over-hyped style accessory was scratched and the lens cover slider dented, (through only slight usage sitting in a coat pocket). Read more
