Facebook & You Tube easy web upload
The JV200 features the popular 'Easy Web Upload' function that has previously only been found on the more fashion-driven models in the Fuji range. This is a great time-saver as it allows you to sort through your photos when you are travelling and decide which ones to upload to Facebook or You Tube so that when you get home you just have to connect to a PC and launch the MyFinePix Studio software (for Windows) and they will immediately upload.

Blink and you won't miss it
People often complain about ruined photos after the event, due to people blinking or not paying attention, never fear, Fujifilm is here with Smile and Shoot and Blink Detection features. The Smile and Shoot mode works by detecting smiles on faces: it will not take a picture until it detects a smile, so you’re guaranteed happy shots every time. The clever Blink Detection mode warns you if you have captured an image with people blinking, so you can re-shoot if necessary.

The JV200 benefits from Full HD image capture and 720p HD movie capture. This enables you to take stunning, detailed pictures and videos that can be enjoyed in glorious High Definition on any HD ready television* or PC.

Playing back your pictures
The JV200 features Photobook Assist, which helps you create stunning photo books in-camera and lets you turn the pages as if you were looking at an album.
Plus if you can never find the picture you are looking for, the new Picture search tool lets you search by date range, type of photo (whether it’s a landscape, portrait, night-shot, macro-shot etc). This works using Face Recognition technology to allow you to tag your favourite people so that the camera recognises them when it takes a photo and can in turn bring up all photos of a particular person at the press of a button! Genius.

This camera is not expensive, but when you see all the little extras it is packed with, it leans towards being a lot higher in price, in terms of value.
It has a good solid feel to it, easy to use (albeit compact controls) with loads of shooting options all clearly described and easily accessible.
The video mode is also excellent with a really good, long battery life between charges.
Highly recommended and worth the 5 stars!

Ordered this a day and half ago and it arrived today which I couldn't believe. It's lightweight, easy to setup, has great options for different settings and for 50quid you can't really go wrong. I found the pictures to be good quality even on an awful miserable dull day like today, great zoom. I can't fault it. It doesn't come wth a SD Card which you do need to use it but I already had one so if you don't have one you'll need it. Thanks Amazon!

Very compact camera. Fairly basic menu, has 14 or so 'scene' pre-set modes and decent auto/manual/timed options as you would expect. 'Portrait' mode is particularly flattering, with a nice soft tone which makes skin look radiant without spending too much time editing in Photoshop. Other modes include 'landscape', 'beach', 'snow', 'party' - all of which produce good results and compensate for the level of light available. However, you have to click through a couple of menus to access these and remember where the settings are...my previous camera had a handy rotating dial on the top which was preferable. The camera casing is light, it's all plastic and the lens/shutter are quite noisy so it feels a bit like a clock-work toy to use. The bright pink colour is cheerful though - it's hard not to find it cute!
Overall good value for £50ish and comes with a re-chargeable battery which is uncommon for this price range. I'd highly recommend it to someone who wants a camera that can be carried around in the bottom of their bag or pocket everyday and capture those memorable moments. It's simple enough to give to any child or techno-phobe to use and takes pictures remarkably quickly so you don't miss any action. It won't help you learn about photography as you don't get much control over the fine-tuning of the settings but is perfect for holidays where family and friends can pick it up and have a go. Battery life is also pretty good, and file sizes don't take up too much room on the SD card. Already looking forward to taking this little gem everywhere with me!
