What a superb little camera! It has just about everything for the traveller/holidayaker. A 28mm equivalent wide angle for group shots and breadth when you have restricted space in front of your scene, to a useful 10x optical zoom to get close up to those objects you cannot approach. You can even get 67X magnification by using the digital zoom in combination (though at cost of image quality at the top end). There is a great, almost automatic, panoramic feature for landscapes and many programmed modes from close-ups of flowers to night shots and landscapes. All this in a trim, slim body which slips easily into a pocket or bag. The print quality some flower shots I took is excellent. You can get it in red, blue and purple as well as black. I got a great looking blue one at an excellent price but I see the price has gone up already - I'm not surprised for the features it offers - even at the higher price, it offers a great deal more than any other compact of similar price in particular the 10x optical zoom where others are offering only 3x or 4x AND it does high definition video with sound at the touch of a button.Thoroughly recommended.

I would have given this a better review as for the money it took great pictures BUT it has stopped working after less than six months and I've had terrible trouble getting Fuji to take any responsibilty for it. I have had to resort to Amazon sorting it out and am now waiting to see what happens.

The camera produces very good photos without flash. Even handheld photos at maximum (10x) zoom are clear. This is not matched by the flash which produces poor pictures. Also the video is worse than useless. Don't even think about this camera if you want to take videos as the sound quality is appalling. My cheaper and older Samsung produces far better quality. Also the battery life is rather short between recharges compared with the Samsung.

Having previously owned a Fuji F30 this has been a disappointment. The Instruction Leaflet is minimal in the extreme. Simply diagrammatic with no written Instructions. However, my main complaint is that the camera is supplied with no Memory Card, in-spite of the fact that Illustration 5 shows one being inserted and the camera is virtually useless without one. When I called the company regarding this I was told that a Card is no longer supplied, as individuals have their own preference on the memory they require and one can take an individual picture without one!!

So far the camera seems to operate OK but after this experience it will be the last Fuji Product I buy. Dr Bob Peters
